Ooog...

Being sick is never fun. It sure does take a lot out of you...
Anyhoo and a way, I'm finally moving on, leaving the town of Illness
and getting back into the groove. Lots to do and play catch up.

With that said, here's a quick doodad of a doodle...

The completion of the Batman pic soon to come!

The next step...

got all the values for Bats roughed out... now to fill in the background!

Bats!

This morning I watched an awesome comedy sketch from some show broadcasted in Europe...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=hYq-Ljwov_s

It triggered flashbacks of one of my favorite tv shows of all times, the 1966 Batman series with Adam West. For the life of me, I don't know why they haven't released a DVD collection. Can you imagine the whole crew commenting throughout each episode? Just as Adam West and Burt Ward had done on the Batman movie pilot. Genius. I felt like a kid again, sitting 6 inches away from the screen and dreaming that one day I could be a superhero crimefighter.
Instead, I'm just going to do a batman painting...
SO here's the start of it all...

Mr. West, this is for you brotha!

switch!

Taking a break from sketching superdudes and getting back up to par in a little "speed" painting... Googled up the word temple and found myself a nice reference pic.
Something's still missing from it... I'll probably go back and add something. But for now, I think I want to take a nap. haha

late night and an earache...

Sigh... what a day. There's nothing like having an earache so bad it gives you vertigo. Makes it a little difficult to concentrate.
But, with medication, it created a little window for me to sketch up something for the evening.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a little more energy and less earaches... woot.

rewind!

Today I went back to a sketch I posted earlier to paint up a little more detail.
Yeah... he's pretty much a naked dude with a tech stuff strapped all over him.
But, there's a reason for that.. Not that I'm going to tell ya yet. ;)
Then again, if you take a look at the rough sketch in the second picture
you can probably make a pretty good assumption of what the reason is...

hero mugs

Here are some attempts to find a look for a hero...
Think I'm getting closer. Must... do... more...
Urgh...

Post for the evening...

For some reason, when I start out to sketch a good guy I end up thinking they'd be cooler as a bad guy.
Maybe this dude will be more of an anti-hero...
I'll try again tomorrow. But, for now, it's bedtime. Here's a sketch for the evening...

The throwdown

Trying to keep up a good discipline in sketching and crankin' 'em out. I'll keep them in a really rough state for now and rewind later to bring it to a more final state.

With that said, here's a hottie action espionage lady friend....

Cheers!

Creative ooooooze.

Another sketch in the works!

villain dude...

Taking on new challenges!
After flipping through the new Pixar book, The Art of Ratatouille, mixed with my current fascination with Sculpy, I got inspired to design a couple of maquettes for a show this December. ( I'll post more about the show as it gets closer... )
Anyhoo, this pic is the first sketch of a villain.

More to come!

Cheers!

my fave speed painting to date...

The theme of this speed painting was "rustic assassin under a monolith" or something....
I really have to start remember the titles of these things. haha

Speed painting

I forgot what the subject was... but, i think it was " Men dressed as birds in a dark forest "...
Hmmm, yeah. That's close enough
